Master of Spoooky Bloodbending by Bleu-Ninja Master of Spoooky Bloodbending by Bleu-Ninja
The bloodbending master from beyond the grave!

Enjoy this Halloween-y pic! I like working with dark colors.

Ah it's so good to see some traditional art (and coloured so well!)
I am loving the way you did the hands, but the hair looks a bit stiff?
I feel like if he was running towards me the hair should have more ~flow~
Great work!

Oh man, thanks for the comment! I was on a big traditional art kick a while back with all my art pens. I had started reading Hellboy and wanted to try something with a lot of blacks on it, so I drew this out.

In the picture, Tarrlok wasn't supposed to be running, just bloodbending: [link] . I was going for the feel of a classic horror poster, where the monster is reaching out towards you (a pose that's pretty similar to bloodbending) to practice my foreshortening. However, I totally agree with you on the stiffness. That's one of the things I'm bad at - all my action ends up looking pretty stiff. It was hard to get the hair at the right length with the ribbons in the right place, and as a result I made his ponytails too short and thick. Especially the one on the right (his left)

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I'd take one comment like this over ten "lol cool" any day.
